With great humility I wanted to draw on three musical “moments” that strongly characterize our country, in a historical context marked by a profound crisis, from different points of view.

The quotation of the national anthem of Michele Novaro was almost a must, being the musical component that “officially” represents us and identifies us as a people, in different occasions, all over the world.

“Once upon a time …” undoubtedly evokes with nostalgia a past of glory and prestige that are struggling to take shape again: the reference to Maestro Ennio Morricone, undoubtedly the ambassador in the world of the beautiful Italy that everyone envies us, is inevitably the essential point of reference for every musician of this century. In addition to these considerations, the choice certainly derives from “affective” reasons, given the deep personal esteem and admiration that the undersigned has for the Master. Hence the idea of ​​a very modest, I hope not irreverent, tribute.

Finally, the quotation from Giacomo Puccini’s work is meant to be a good omen for a brighter future, where color does not refer to the decline of a sunset, but to the awakening of a new dawn.
